Dispatch instant coffee review
It all started when…
We wanted a good cup of instant… for biking, for camping, for keeping as a backup. On our quest to find the perfect instant #coffeeoutside we decided to look no further than our local cafe @dispatchcoffee. Responsibly sourced, with amazing brightness and flavour, environmentally friendly packaging and available online or at their cafe in Montreal it’s a big hit with us. The Blend Saisonnier was a big hit with us.
Instant coffee is perfect for travel, close to home, or in the backcountry. At around 5 grams per serving, you can carry several cups of the Dispatch instant coffee in your pocket or bike bags, and not even know it. All you have to do is just add water, hot or cold, to make a delicious brew on the trail. It comes in a fine powder that easily dissolves in water… no lumps, no issues. It is ridiculously convenient, and is a game changer for having a good cup when you need it first thing in the morning as you break down camp or on a midday break on the trail to give you that extra boost for miles ahead. This specific blend contains coffees from Guatemala (60%), Colombia (20%), and Tanzania (20%), with soda-pop sweetness, citrusy brightness, and a spicy finish.
This coffee was good. That is a given, knowing the high quality you get from all Dispatch beans. But its also organic. Which is great for the sake of the farmers, the land it’s grown on, and the water systems where it is grown, organic is a bare minimum for environmental reasons. On top of it all the packaging follows the same ethic and is environmentally sound using the Biotre compostable packing.
It may never replace a real cup of joe, but I’ve been saved numerous times from having to forego having no coffee at all. This particular blend really hit the spot when we needed it most.
